Doug and Brenda were engaged on Cinco de Mayo and are quickly planning their July 29th wedding. Much of their time dating has been spent in Pasadena, where Brenda lives. For their engagement shoot they had me out to Pasadena and took me around to places around the city that were special to them. Their engagement session is more of a story of their relationship, which I think is so much fun. So sit back and enjoy their story 🙂
We started out at the train station, at the Mission stop. Doug often takes the train out from Redlands to visit Brenda. When you don’t live in the same city, it is very exciting when your love arrives on the train. Such a rush 🙂 We took pictures at this particular place because it is the stop Doug got off of to meet Brenda the day he proposed.
Next we strolled by Brenda’s favorite botanical gardens.
Around the corner from the gardens is a beautiful library. Being that Brenda has a degree in Urban and Regional Planning, she has a high appreciation for architecture. Pasadena is filled with beautiful buildings such as this one.
Our next stop was a fun one. Food trucks have played a fun role in Doug and Brenda’s relationship, so we made sure to stop by their favorite coffee shop, which hosts several food trucks every week during the summer. Doug and Brenda like to sample something from each truck and share it. This was my first experience with a food truck, so I just ate what they did 🙂
Next we went to the Pasadena City Hall. This building is absolutely stunning. It has amazing arches and domes and beautiful architecture.
The last two pictures were taken at Brenda’s house, where the engagement actually took place.
Congratulations Doug and Brenda! I look forward to being a part of your special day next month!
