It’s an honor to be able to photograph a fellow photographer.  Coco is a fellow local photographer and quite talented herself, so I was excited to get to photograph her family.  Trust me when I saw family photos feel like just as much work for photographers as they do with you.  We sometimes have to force ourselves to get in the picture because we’re so used to taking them. Coco and her family are seriously adorable and I may or may not have wanted to take her kids home with me.   This particular week we were having 100+ degree temps in Southern California and so we were quite happy to take this session to the water!  The kids had a blast tromping through the water, and it was great not to be sweaty!

Kimberly and Jonathan were married out of state and a week later came to Southern California for a sweet and intimate backyard wedding reception. Kimberly is a professional ballerina in Salt Lake City.  Despite wearing heals all day, she never once slouched.  I definitely have posture goals after watching her 🙂

Thankfully the extreme heatwave we were having in Southern California the week before this event had subsided a bit for their reception.  This was the sweetest little affair with elegant touches.  My favorite part was the piano and cello duo that played beautifully for the entire event.  Congratulations you two!

This sweet family recently welcomed a third beautiful baby boy and they are rocking the Party of five world.  Maverick was such a dream for his newborn photos, which I think just seems to happen when you have two crazy older siblings 🙂  I feel so very privileged that I’ve gotten to capture each of these sweet boys as newborns.  Congratulations you guys!

Tim and Sarah will soon be getting married in Oak Glen California, and I cannot wait to capture their special day!  Since they are getting married in a mountain setting, we decided to do their engagement photos in the mountains.  Being that it is so hot out lately, it was so nice to get to play in the stream and enjoy the cooler weather. These two are so sweet together and excited for their upcoming wedding.

Jessie and Nicole were married on a gorgeous June day under a beautiful canopy of Oak trees at The Homestead at Wilshire Ranch in Oak Glen California.  The Homestead is one of the most beautiful Oak Glen wedding venues.  It is romantic and rustic and filled with the most charming little details.  It was a gorgeous June day and we couldn’t have asked for nicer weather.  Bright and sunny, but still nice and cool being that we were in the mountains.  All of the flowers were in bloom and everywhere you looked you saw the sweetest details.  One of my favorite things about Oak Glen weddings, is that you really feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of life.  Things just seem to slow down when you are in the mountains.  The air is crisp and cool, and nature surrounds you.  It is the perfect setting for a Southern California summer wedding!

Jessie and Nicole were so relaxed and easy to work with. They made the day so easy and fun.  These two love birds were so sweet and excited to say “I Do”.  Nicole wore some of the prettiest details, from her  gorgeous dress to her elegant hat and veil, and her bridal bouquet which incorporated roses, peonies and baby’s breath.

The Homestead is filled with such delightful little details.  There is not a corner in the entire venue that doesn’t look charming. Honestly it is a photographer’s dream! This cake was so pretty and it was special to them because it was made by one of the family members of the Wilshire family.  I love the personalized cake topper that displays the bride and groom’s personality, such a fun touch.Congratulations you two, may you be blessed with a lifetime of love and happiness!  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your most special day.
